The Grimes County Commissioners Court meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM CT at the Grimes County Justice and Business Center, 270 FM 149 W, Anderson, TX 77830. Special sessions and public hearings are held as needed.

The Commissioners Court consists of the County Judge and four precinct commissioners. As of 2026: County Judge Joe Fauth III; Commissioner Pct 1 Chad Mallett; Commissioner Pct 2 David Tullos (through Dec 2026); Commissioner Pct 3 Michael Raska; Commissioner Pct 4 Phillip Cox (through Dec 2026).
